ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the importance of risk management among small and medium enterprises. Risk identification has always been the most critical step in any risk assessment process. Some risks are inevitable, but all organizations need to at least try to avoid them. Identifying risks is the first step before analyzing, prioritizing and treating them. Managing all of this requires a thorough understanding of the interrelationships between key business processes, and not all organizations are large enough, or fortunate enough, to boast someone with the necessary knowledge or the ability to apply it in a business risk context. Internet can be used to find guidance on how to identify risk, how to conduct a risk management exercise, and how to maintain risk management systems after putting them in place.
