ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the scenarios that confront the operation of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the national oil company in Mexico. It says that the oil production in the company's Cantarell field continues to decrease resulting to a decline in revenue. It mentions that Pemex may resort to importation to feed domestic refineries that run below capacity. Meanwhile, it says the Pemex has invited outside operators in the search and development of offshore deepwater resources.
