ABSTRACT
The article discusses a research study to determine whether global warming will lead to the occurrence of both more floods and more droughts. Trends in flows within the Susquehanna River Basin were examined. According to the researchers, although there was a considerable increase in annual minimum flow for most of the examined watersheds and a noticeable increase in annual median flow for about half of the examined watershed, the annual maximum streamflow does not indicate significant long-term change.
