Reports on the United States Supreme Court's hearing of the case 'Edwards v. Aguillard.' Lawsuit to strike down a Louisiana law that requires the teaching of creation science in any public school that incorporates the theory of evolution into its curriculum. State's argument that the law had the primary secular purpose of advancing academic freedom; Plaintiffs' claim that the law's purpose is to block scientific teaching of the theory of evolution.
