ABSTRACT
The article presents commentary regarding the activities of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in its efforts to label and confront hate groups. Details are given identifying how the SPLC has designated the U.S. political organization Family Research Council as a hate-group for its inaccurate and aggressive homophobic campaigning in 2010. Discussion is offered defending the SPLC's decision.
