ABSTRACT
The article highlights key modeling and independent writing strategies in a kindergarten classroom. It evaluates the creation of independent collaborative texts within the literacy curriculum that occupied a crucial role for the development of the children's independence in collaborative writing. It also presents an example of modeled writing and independent writing activities in a classroom.
