ABSTRACT
This article presents an argument for the limitation of immigration in New Zealand. The author argues that New Zealand should increase restrictions on the flow of migrants and be more selective in the development of immigration quotas due to the country's limited natural resources and employment opportunities. A history of immigration in New Zealand is presented which discusses the experiences of the Maori and Pakeha settlers and changes to immigration law in the country.
