ABSTRACT
The author notes that the war in Afghanistan, called the Operation Enduring Freedom, is in its 10th year and could drag on longer. He points out the opportunity for U.S. President Barack Obama to end the costly war soon after being elected. The author explains the consequences if Obama withdraws from the Afghanistan war and if he continues to show support. He believes that killing more tribesmen will do more harm than good as they become automatic martyrs.
