ABSTRACT
The article discusses the impact of the response to intervention (RTI) method in education, which the author says was meant for struggling readers and special education students. The role of the U.S. federal government in the development and implementation of the RTI approach in education is explored. The author says that RTI has helped students with disabilities and students with learning problems, as well as students who do not have learning problems.
