The article reports that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released a Request for Information (RFI) for the Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS) Generation II as part of a new and layered technology approach to border security. As stated, the surveillance system will provide electro-optic and infrared sensor surveillance to enable the detection, tracking, identification of illegal entries into the U.S.
