ABSTRACT
The article reports that K-12 publishers view the federal economic stimulus package or known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 as an effective means to support educational innovation in the U.S. Marjorie Scardino, chief executive of Pearson, says that the stimulus package reflects that the administration of Barack Obama has included education in its top three priorities. Scardino mentions that the stimulus package will serve as a means for change and long-term reform, however companies still do not have a clear understanding of it. Larry Berger, chief executive officer (CEO) of Wireless Generation Inc., states that the stimulus package offers a noteworthy development for the innovation initiatives of Wireless Generation and other companies.
