Dealing with challenging situations in the classroom

The article offers tips on how school nurses teaching Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) can deal with challenging situations in the classroom. The author suggests school nurses to identify the challenging students and ask other staff members on how they handle these pupils. She recommends the use of different phrases when praising positive behaviours. She notes that school nurses must avoid shouting when being provoked, instead the request must be repeated in a calm voice.
