ABSTRACT
The article reports that farm activist groups have opposed to the proposal of the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) regarding a marketing rule that would change the sturcture of the pork industry in the U.S. According to Neil Dierks of National Pork Producers Council (NPCC), the marketing rule would put forward in the form of potential legal ramifications. GIPSA should promulgate rules whether a poultry producer has given enough time to remedy contract disputes.
