ABSTRACT
The article presents an examination of Muslims in the United States and discusses the threat of violent Muslim extremism. It discusses U.S. Representative Peter King's hearing on the radicalization of Muslims in the U.S., al-Qaeda's movement to appeal to American youth and the threat posed by homegrown terrorism in the U.S. It also discusses the Muslim community's involvement in preventing terrorism.
