ABSTRACT
The author offers information on the life and professional background of Minnie Frumer Goodman as an early female attorney in 1930s in Louisiana. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Goodman graduated from Louisiana State University Law School (LSU Law) in 1933 and passed her bar exam shortly after. After she married and moved to St. Louis, Missouri, Goodman practiced law but left in 1939 to raise her family. Women lawyers in the 1930s and 1940s in general are discussed.
