ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a study which presented a dynamic model of the human lumbar spine using the MSC ADAMS software. The software analyzed the load bearing properties of the spine in different conditions such as shocks induced from driving on a bump road. To capture the load pattern on the lumbar spine, an abrupt axial displacement was applied to the seat. The dynamic modeling illustrated how damping in intervertebral disks helped in dissipating the external energy induced to the spine.
