ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the foreign affairs of Rwanda as of May 2009. The country remains to be an active member of the international community. Majority of the development and humanitarian offices of the United Nations (UN) have had a large presence in the country. Furthermore, the country has participated in peacekeeping missions such as the UN-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID). In 2006, the country severed its relations with France when senior Rwandan officials were accused of shooting down a presidential jet in 1994.
