ABSTRACT
This article discusses the process of assimilation and citizenship of immigrant populations in the U.S. The author examines the concentration of immigrant groups with similar ethnic backgrounds as a result of their marginalization. The concept of demographic dynamism in democratic nations is explored in terms of creating more a more diverse culture. The principles of liberty in the U.S. are seen as contradictory to its immigration policy, according to the author, citing the restriction of civil rights of immigrant populations and minority groups.
