ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the pension and health benefits reform signed by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie which elicited protests from public employee unions. It states that the new reform will ask for an increase in pension contributions for government workers including teachers, police, and firefighters. Furthermore, the millionaire's tax proposal, which could have increased the income tax rate of New Jerseyans who earn more than one million dollars per year, was vetoed by the Governor.
