ABSTRACT
The article reports on the 17.5 million pounds annual ATM withdrawal costs cut by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), a partly government-owned bank, in Great Britain. The company, along with NatWest Bank PLC and Lloyds TSB Bank PLC, have deemed the costs involved in customers making a withdrawal from a rival bank's ATM. Meanwhile, several banks have claimed that funding the transactions for entry-level account holders is no longer viable.
