ABSTRACT
The article informs that Congressional panels are opposing additional discretionary defense cuts from the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction in the U.S. It is evident that Congressional authorization committees could submit proposals till tomorrow to the 12-member congressional deficit panel, the so-called "super committee," which has to draft a plan for cutting 1.5 trillion dollars in federal spending over the next decade.
