ABSTRACT
In this paper, processing the static modeling of Switched Reluctance Motor 6/4 with three different stator pole arcs sizes are described. The result of static analysis, including inductance, flux linkage, and static torque vs. rotor position for various current excitations by considering saturation effect in three states of motor with and without stator pole shoes are investigated. The effect of the increase in stator pole arcs is presented for improving SRM performance. Finally, two existing methods of inductance calculation in the finite element analysis package of ANSYS are reviewed and their results are compared.
