ABSTRACT
The article presents an economic outlook on the exchange rates in Finland in the midst of deep recession in the Eurozone. It projects the softening of the euro in 2011-2012 due to the slashing of interest rates by the European Central Bank, the sovereign-debt restructuring of Greece, and the contraction of the European economy. It also expects a downside risks on the euro in view of the sluggish economic activity and ailing fiscal situation in the U.S.
