ABSTRACT
The article reports on the impact of the European economy to the euro currency. It notes that euro will collapse as there is a surge on financial markets and unwillingness of Slovakia to contribute to a bailout fund and the failure of Dexia SA, French-Belgian bank. It mentions that euro and European Union (EU) have been officially created by the Maastricht Treaty in 1993.
