ABSTRACT
The article discusses the efforts of mobile operators to profit from fixed-line social networking services. Juniper Research predicts revenues of 18.9 billion U.S. dollars from mobile 2.0 services by 2014. Mobile advertising network Unanimis signed a deal to provide adverts for mobile applications for digital media group Associated Northcliffe Digital. Stephanie Hospital of Orange believes that advertising currently is not the core objective in social media.
