ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's insights on the role of scholarship in teaching and learning quality. The author mentions that critical reflection in teachers and growth examination of teachers' critical reflection can be promoted through the implementation of portfolios as a forum. The author states that research which will help to define the best approaches to enhance the quality of learning and teaching should be fostered by educational professionals.
