The Artificial Shoal Fuzzy Cluster Analysis on the Arctic Route Geopolitical Structure

As a result of the global warming, the Arctic ice layer is melting gradually, thus the expectation of navigation on the Arctic area seems possible, and the scrambling for the resource and the struggle about the geopolitics which targets on the arctic will become a new important issue for the study of the geopolitics. Because of the Arctic's unique geographical location and the importance of competing interests in the Arctic route, when studying the arctic geopolitics, we should start from the perspective of the arctic route, and the study will undoubtedly contributes to our future interests in the Arctic route competition. This paper initiated the concept of Arctic route geopolitical structure and pointed out the importance of studying on it, on this basis, the authors used the Artificial Shoal Fuzzy Cluster Analysis method to analyze this structure. The result indicates that there are 3 clusters for the Arctic route geopoliti0cs: they are the national group which is formed by 27 nations and the main country is the United States. The national group which is formed by 19 nations and the main country is Russia, and the national group which is formed by other 47 nations and includes the UK. The simulation result shows that the Artificial Shoal Fuzzy Cluster Analysis method is available for the analysis of Arctic route geopolitical structure. More importantly, the result provides us with effective references when developing the Arctic route geopolitical strategy.
