ABSTRACT
The article features the restored mausoleum of outlaw Belle Starr located at Younger's Bend, Oklahoma. Starr's property became a welcome abode for outlaws evading U.S. marshals out of Fort Smith in Arkansas. Fifty years after her death, barber Claude Hamilton, acquired the property. It eventually passed to orthopedic surgeon Ron Hood. He hired a stone mason to restore her monument. Hood also purchased an 1850's standing cabin in Missouri, which was moved to Younger's Bend.
