ABSTRACT
The purpose of this article is to share the experiences of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin a small, regional university in preparing administrators for area school districts through a principal center format. The West Texas Principal Center was funded by an external grant through the U.S. Department of Education. This study reports the findings of the assessments put in place as part of the grant. The authors then share implications and recommendations based on the implementation of the principal center format in preparing administrators for small and rural schools.
