ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decline of occupancies in the apartment market in Chicago, Illinois in 2011. It says that the average net rent for Class A apartment buildings was reduced by 1.2% from the second quarter. It notes that the trend is triggered by the increase of rent prices after more tenants are hesitant to buy properties.
