ABSTRACT
The article discusses U.S. Constitution First Amendment jurisprudence as of June 2012, focusing on several trends involving First Amendment protections including the U.S. Supreme Court’s grant of certiorari in the United States v. Alvarez Stolen Valor Act case, as well as questions about the legitimacy and sources of knowledge. The relationship between free speech and epistemological questions is also addressed.
