ABSTRACT
The article presents a study which examines the biological effect of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) on the treatment of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). The study was participated by 10 patients with post-transplant GvHD who were managed with multiple infusions of third-party bone marrow-derived MSCs. It concludes that MSCs could be an effective therapeutic tool to treat steroid-resistant GvHD.
