ABSTRACT
The article discusses the annual American Gaming Association (AGA) State of the States report and East Coast Gaming Conference in the U.S. Both events highlight the condition of the American gaming industry. A slow rebound in the sector is noted after the recession. The report also surveys the opinion of community leaders, politicians, and public servants about casinos while the conference discusses the closure of Las Vegas Strip-type properties.
