ABSTRACT
The article discusses how the teaching of critical thinking is implemented at the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. According to the article, even at the freshman level, every effort is made to relate basic science to clinical application while courses in clinical problem solving are integrated in the second year level. Most courses at the college also include cases designed to illustrate the use of proper history and specific testing to arrive at correct diagnosis.
