ABSTRACT
The article presents different stories to demonstrate the way dental hygiene and its forms differ from one country to another. Rosie Bellert faculty member at a dental hygiene program describes the nonexistent of dental hygienists in Bolivia, where people associate dental care to a visit that needs to be done in case of pain. Other experiences of Julie Carranza in Australia, Heidi Glastetter in Switzerland and Amy Soss, West Indies are also presented.
