ABSTRACT
The article focuses on several investigations carried out by botanist on plants regarding its usefulness. It mentions that casperian strip which blocks the passive flow of water and solutes into the vascular tissues of a plant is made of lignin. It further mentions that photosynthesis is a photochemical process which consumes carbon dioxide to balance the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.
