ABSTRACT
The article reports on the importance of social media for mobile wallet providers to increase the awareness of consumers on why they should use phones for payment and how the mobile wallet works. Websites such as www.YouTube.com and www.Pinterest.com have built-in tools which allow consumers to comment and share on the content they like. Campbell Edlund, EMI Strategic Marketing's president, says that social media is a productive place to generate buzz for any new technology.
