ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the defense sector of the European Union (EU). According to French Defense Minister Herv Morin, Europe will become a pawn in the balance between the new powers, if they did not pool their defense capabilities effectively. Moreover, EU defense ministers agreed to follow the suggestion of Morin to compile a list of all 27 EU states' military capabilities.
