ABSTRACT
The article reveals Japanese officials' proposal to build a new permanent radioactive site. The proposal was announced by Katsuhiko Yokomitsu, vice environment minister, at a meeting with Tochigi Governor Tomikazu Fukuda. It notes that the site will contain and dispose of radioactive sludge from the damaged nuclear plant at Fukushima. The facility is going to be built in Tochigi Prefecture in northern Tokyo.
