ABSTRACT
The article reports that according to CUNA's 2012-2013 CEO Total Compensation Survey, chief executive officer (CEO) base pay levels in the U.S. posted a modest 1.5% increase in 2011 compared to the year 2010. The author says that credit unions must ensure executive compensation is in line with industry benchmarks, and they must document executive pay decisions. If the value of stock compensation was included, bank CEO compensation would be much more than compensation for credit union CEOs.
