ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role that the American multinational conglomerate General Electric's (GE's) facility in Damman, Saudi Arabia GE Manufacturing Technology Centre (Gemtech) has played in diversifying the Saudi Arabian economy and in providing employment for its youth since its development in 2011. Particular focus is given to what is referred to as Saudisation, which is having Saudi Arabians playing a key role in the country's economic development.
