ABSTRACT
The article examines the benefits of stimulus packages granted in Malaysia, following global financial crises. It questions whether the return amount indicated in the Ministry of Finance's project management unit's report on first stimulus package, launched in November 2008 is sufficient for Malaysian economic development. It informs that the country requires stimulus of nine to 10 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) to compensate the gap of required rate of economic growth in 2008-2009.
