ABSTRACT
The article reports on a finding by the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) that nearly 99,000 homeowners refinanced through the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) HARP in August 2012. It is noted that many of the states that are hit hardest by the housing crisis are being helped by the payment relief produced by HARP refinancing.
