ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the study regarding the use of waist circumference (WC) and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) measures of elementary school children in the evaluation of health policies of school. It states that WC and WHtR were used an alternative to body mass index (BMI) which is not commonly use by clinicians for children. It argues that WHtR could be an effective tool to evaluate the impact of school health policies.
