The authors recommend ideas for developing curriculum and assessments that reflect the intent and areas of emphasis of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The authors propose that the Common Core Standards require careful reading, are not curricula, and need to be translated into an engaging and outcome-focused curriculum.
