ABSTRACT
The article discusses projections that emerging markets in Europe and Africa are set to instill new life in a mature trans-Atlantic ocean trade. Russia, Turkey, Nigeria, Angola and Ghana have reportedly been enjoying solid economic growth and trade statistics since the 2008-2009 global recession. This growth is largely propelled by escalating oil and commodity prices that have benefited Russia and the three Western African countries.
