Threadneedle and Schroders linked to RBS branch bid

The article reports that Threadneedle Investments and Schroders Investment Management Ltd., both asset managers have been linked in acquiring a stake in the 316 Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) branches, which were up for sale in 2012. The deal was set to conclude at the end of 2011. RBS is under pressure to sell the stake within the next 12 months.
