ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of the U.S. government to review the drilling program of oil company Shell at the Arctic region. The announced review came after a series of mishaps in Shell's Arctic operations, including the Kulluk drilling rig breaking free from its tugs during a storm. The review is expected to be completed by the end of February 2013 and will cover Shell's safety management systems, contracted services oversight and the company's ability to meet government standards.
