ABSTRACT
The article considers the Iraq war on the tenth anniversary of its beginning in 2003. It is opined that the U.S. invaded Iraq with sound justification, but that prosecution of the war was harmed by various factors including bureaucratic conflict. The author says that following the withdrawal of U.S. troops, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has become an authoritarian ruler.
