ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increasing global energy demand as of January 2013. It notes that energy is one of the major inputs for economic growth, and it can be classified as primary and secondary energy, commercial and non commercial energy and renewable energy. It is predicted that global energy demand will increase by about 30 percent in 2040 compared to 2010.
